What these technologies mean
Cookies are small pieces of information a website can ask a browser to store and return with later requests. Local storage is a separate browser facility that can retain information on a device without sending it automatically with every request. Both can be used for preferences, and both require careful handling.
The editorial site and worksheet
The editorial page scripts do not set cookies or use local storage or session storage. They control navigation, comparison tabs, gentle reveals and the briefing-request worksheet. No advertising or analytics scripts are included in these features.
The worksheet holds its preview in the current page. Copying writes to your clipboard only when requested. Downloading creates a text file on your device. These actions are not cookies, do not send the question to us and do not create a persistent worksheet record within the site’s script.
Your browser may independently cache pages or remember form values. A downloaded file or clipboard entry may remain on your device after the page closes. Manage those items through your browser and operating-system controls.
Consent preferences
If the site presents a separate consent control, use it to accept or decline optional storage. A consent choice may be retained on your device so that it does not need to be requested on every page. Accepting a preference is not consent to send worksheet contents or receive marketing emails.
Non-essential cookies or similar technologies require your consent where applicable. Essential functionality is not permission to introduce advertising or behavioral tracking. Any additional use should be described before it is enabled.
Your controls
You can inspect and remove site cookies and stored data through your browser’s privacy or site-settings menu. Clearing site data may also remove a remembered consent preference and cause the choice to be presented again. Blocking storage does not prevent you from reading the static briefings.
Browser settings vary. Consult your browser’s own help for instructions on deleting cookies, limiting storage, controlling clipboard permission or removing saved form entries. Deleting site data does not automatically delete downloaded files or email you have sent.
External websites and contact
Reference links take you to independent websites with their own cookie and privacy policies. Those services are not embedded into the briefing tools. Review their information when you choose to visit them.
